Yemen’s internationally recognised government saying the operation was aimed at preventing an Iranian aircraft from landing. The government claims the Iranian plane was carrying military personnel and equipment intended for Ansar Allah Houthi fighters, allegations rejected by the Houthis, who accuse Saudi Arabia of carrying out the attack.
