Today we join Misha and Sasha for a one-year fight against the forest. It all started with a problem that nearly destroys everything: their original shelter was a dugout, and every spring it flooded like a trap. So Sasha and Misha make a brutal decision. They tear it down and rebuild from scratch, above ground, where water can’t claim it again. But there’s no truck delivering materials. No contractors. No “weekend project” energy. Just trees, cold, mud, snow… and the pressure of knowing that if they don’t build fast enough, winter will finish the job for them. And after a full year, the cabin becomes more than shelter.
