Israel’s war on Gaza decimated transport and even made walking perilous

Israel's war on Gaza has destroyed an estimated 70 percent of the territory's vehicles and roads, leaving transport scarce, expensive and unreliable. Fuel shortages have driven the price of diesel from $2.40 to $11.30 per litre, whilst journeys that once took minutes now require hours navigating damaged infrastructure. Displaced families, patients and students struggle daily to find seats on overcrowded tuk-tuks and handcarts, and relatives separated across Gaza find it nearly impossible to visit one another.
