Israel strikes Beirut again as Lebanon death toll hits 850 | Hezbollah–Israel war escalates

Israeli forces have launched new air strikes on southern suburbs of Beirut, continuing a wave of attacks across Lebanon. Lebanese authorities say the death toll from Israeli strikes has risen to more than 850 people, including over 100 children. Israel says it is targeting the armed group Hezbollah, which entered the conflict after the reported killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Residents in Beirut’s southern suburbs have been ordered to evacuate as Israeli air strikes intensify. Many displaced civilians are sleeping in the streets as heavy rain worsens humanitarian conditions. Meanwhile, Israeli forces are also conducting operations in southern Lebanon near the border, including attempts to take control of the strategic hilltop town of Khiam. Across the border, Hezbollah continues launching rockets into northern Israel, while Israeli officials say thousands of reservists have been mobilized for a possible expanded ground offensive.
