Iran denies direct talks with US, dismisses ‘unreasonable’ demands

US President Donald Trump has hinted at a possible deal with Iran, but he says he's not ruling out a ground invasion. Trump has told the financial times that US forces could seize Iran's main oil export hub on Kharg Island. Speaking later on Air force one, he suggested a deal to end the war is possible. Despite Trump's claims that negotiations are progressing, Iran says diplomacy with the United States is not being held directly. Tehran is calling Washington's demands “excessive and maximalist”.
