Trump claims Iran’s ‘new regime president’ asked for ceasefire

US President Donald Trump has claimed on social media that Iran has asked for a ceasefire, stating that Washington will consider it only when the Strait of Hormuz is "open, free and clear". Until then, he warned that US forces are "blasting Iran into oblivion" and "back to the Stone Ages".
