Palestine municipal election: Polls held in the occupied West Bank and central Gaza

Nearly 1.1 million Palestinians in the occupied West Bank are voting in local council elections for the first time since the war began. The Palestinian Authority says the polls are part of internationally demanded reforms, including election law changes that require candidates to run on proportional representation lists rather than as individuals.
