More than one million people have been displaced in Lebanon following Israel’s ongoing military offensive nearly one in five of the population. Entire towns, including Bint Jbeil, have been heavily damaged or destroyed, forcing families to flee with little or nothing. Many displaced people are now sheltering in overcrowded schools and public buildings in Beirut, while others are left without adequate housing or support. Humanitarian organizations, including the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, warn the crisis could worsen, with long-term economic and social instability expected. For those affected, the loss is not just homes — but livelihoods, security, and hope for the future. Al Jazeera's Rory Challands reports from Beirut Subscribe to our channel: bit.ly
