What if a cheap 100,000-yen Suzuki Jimny were placed in the hands of someone who refuses to see it as scrap? For ZEL works, this small 4x4 is the beginning of a full mechanical resurrection. Bought as a tired, aging off-roader, the Jimny is stripped down to its bare shell, separated from its chassis, and rebuilt from the inside out. Every hidden weakness is exposed: rusted panels, worn drivetrain components, tired suspension, old seals, dirty engine parts, and the invisible fatigue that years of use leave behind. But instead of covering those problems with paint, ZEL works attacks them at the source, turning the restoration into a frame-up transformation. Custom metalwork, a handmade exhaust, a tubular front bumper, wider arches, outdoor equipment, roof storage, a rear-mounted jack, and even a HiAce room lamp adapted with the help of 3D scanning all turn this compact Suzuki into a one-off adventure machine. The result is a vehicle that still respects the original Jimny formula, small, light, simple, rugged, but now carries the unmistakable personality of its builder. ZEL worksジルワークス YouTube: youtube.com
