US revokes Iran's oil sales waiver after attacks on tankers in Strait of Hormuz

The US attacks on Iran began shortly after Washington revoked a temporary waiver, that allowed Iran to sell its oil under the interim peace agreement. The decision by the Treasury department followed attacks on three tankers, transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's foreign ministry says it holds the US government responsible, for what it calls repeated violations of the memorandum of understanding on ending the war. Under the agreement reached in Switzerland last month, the US issued a waiver on Iranian oil exports, that were meant to last until next month. Al Jazeera’s Mike Hanna reports from the White House, on the Trump administration's response to the attacks in the Strait of Hormuz. Subscribe to our channel: bit.ly
