US Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced it is launching a new task force against Iran. It says the operation will prevent Tehran from using ground routes to transport weapons. CENTCOM says it will block illegal revenue streams, not only across Iran's land borders, but also the Caspian Sea. The task force is an expansion of the blockade the US has been imposing on Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz. Al Jazeera’s Heidi Zhou-Castro reports from Washington, DC. Michael Mulroy is a former US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East and a former CIA Paramilitary Operations Officer. He says CENTCOM will work alongside other agencies such as CIA to find out how and where weapons systems are entering into Iran. Subscribe to our channel: bit.ly
